Under the Temple Sun: I

Under the Temple Sun: I April 2005 in the Angkor temples in Siem Reap. Cambodia
As Kelley and I visited the temples in Angkor there was a sense of awe in almost every direction we looked. The enchantment of the temples often seemed to manifest in the trees. Trees, on a scale that was beyond majestic with shapes that often were beautiful and bizarre, held their place in these ancient ruins. Checked in this moment of time by the fact that we were there, under the sun that predated the existence of either the temple or the trees.
