Journal Entries

With the power of nature, December 26, 2004 brought an acute awareness to places and people whose lives were forever changed. Over six weeks, in April and May of 2005, I traveled to Thailand to see for myself what I could do to help in the aftermath. For two and a half weeks, I volunteered in two of the areas of Thailand hardest hit by the tsunami. This website is a chronicle of my travels and some of the images I encountered during my meandering.

I hope this website serves to raise your awareness of the impact on coastal Thailand. Countless stories and memories are mine to cherish, however being able to share my experiences from the other side of the world is a core aspect of what my experiences mean to me...and hopefully will come to mean for others.

My photo exhibition for the public:

“Varied Frames of Reference”
A photographic commemoration of Khao Lak and Ko Phi Phi—two areas in Thailand forever changed by the tsunami on December 26, 2004.

Also included are pictures of Cambodia’s ancient temple complex: Angkor.
